West China Hospital of Stomatology is not only the birthland of Chinese dentistry, but also the cradle of Chinese maxillofacial plastic surgery, carrying the essence of the development of plastic surgery in China. The Maxillofacial Plastic Surgery of West China Hospital of Stomatology was founded in 1948 by Professor Song Ruyao, an expert in plastic surgery in China. Since the establishment of the Plastic and Cosmetic Center in 2008, the department has been based on humanistic care, guided by disciplinary development, aimed at aesthetic exploration, reputed by exquisite technology, and committed to standardization service. It continues to deliver the voice of "beauty" in the pursuit of excellence. The Plastic and Cosmetic Center is affiliated to the West China Hospital of Stomatology of Sichuan University, including three sub-specialties of cosmetic surgery, cosmetic dermatology and cosmetic dentistry. The clinical focus is on the cosmetic surgery of the maxillofacial region and the management of facial anti-aging. Now it has developed into a clinical discipline with certain influence in the Southwest and even the whole country.
