Biography
Han Xianglong, professor, chief physician, and doctoral supervisor of the West China School/Hospital of Stomatology, Sichuan University, is a member of the Edward H. Angle Society of Orthodontists (EHASO), vice chairman of the Chinese Society of Esthetic Dentistry-Chinese Stomatological Association, Standing Editor of the West China Journal of Stomatology and Academic.
Prof. Han’s main research interests are the mechanical and biological mechanism of tooth movement, tissue remodeling and biomineralization of the periodontal ligament bone interface, and the research and development of dental and maxillofacial deformity correction devices. He has led 5 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, published more than 100 scientific papers, participated in the compilation of 10 monographs, and obtained 30 national patents.
Prof. Han has been awarded the American Society for Bone and Mineral Research (ASBMR) Award (2010), the IADR/Unilever Hatton Divisional Award (2011), and the Top 10 National Competitor of Table Clinic in the 15th National Orthodontic Annual Conference (2016). He also won the first and third prizes of the Sichuan Province Science and Technology Progress Award in 2018 and 2014, respectively.
