Prof. Shen is a dedicated researcher and practitioner specializing in prosthodontics and dental implantology. He mainly engages in research in the basic and clinical aspects of prosthodontics, as well as interdisciplinary studies, including the regulatory mechanisms and targeted intervention of oral and maxillofacial sensory functions, as well as digital prosthodontics and implantology technologies. He has successfully led more than ten national and provincial-level scientific research projects.

Prof. Shen has published over 80 articles and authored ten monographs. Furthermore, he is a Changjiang Scholar of the Ministry of Education, the chief scientist of the National Key R&D Program project, and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. He also serves as the Secretary-General of the Asia-Pacific Region of the IADR. Within the Chinese Stomatology Association, he serves as an executive member of the Prosthodontics Committee and holds vice-chairman positions in both the Stomatological Equipment Society and the Stomatologist Society of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association.
