Yang Zheng, DDS, chief physician (clinical professor), is currently the vice dean of the West China School and Hospital of Stomatology, Sichuan University. He is also the vice chairman of the Stomatological Medical Services Branch of the Chinese Stomatological Association, the executive member of the Chinese Stomatological Doctor Association, the executive member of the Hospitals Branch of Chinese Hospital Association Stomatological, the vice president of the Sichuan Hospital Association, and the vice president of the Sichuan International Medical Exchange & Promotion Association. Prof. Yang is appointed as the editorial board member of BMJ Quality & Safety and the executive editorial board member of Chinese Journal of Graduate Medical Education.

Prof. Yang has long been engaged in clinical and interdisciplinary research on general dentistry and medical management. He has conducted extensive research on the factors that influence the microtensile strength of fiber posts and has contributed to the compilation of several textbooks on oral medicine.

Prof. Yang has made great efforts to improve the capacity of basic medical services in some remote and impoverished areas, such as Aba, Liangshan, Ganzi, Xinjiang, Tibet, etc., by providing medical support and training to local hospitals, and promoting the construction of West China Stomatology Specialist alliance.
