April 23-25, 2025 – We were hosting a distinguished delegation from the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Otago (UoO), New Zealand, led by its Dean, Professor Paul Cooper.
Leaders from both institutions held productive discussions to enhance bilateral cooperation across multiple dimensions. The visit reached its highlight with a landmark signing ceremony where Professor Xianglong Han, Dean of WCSS, and Professor Paul Cooper, Dean of Faculty of Dentistry, UoO, formally established a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This agreement creates a robust institutional framework for long-term academic partnership between these two globally-recognized dental institutions.
During the visit, WCSS and Faculty of Dentistry, UoO co-held a specialized symposium, fostering in-depth academic dialogue. The event transitioned into interdisciplinary discussions to explore future collaborative opportunities. Additionally, the delegation toured WCSS, including the National Centers for Education, Research, and Clinical Care.
This newly established partnership represents a meaningful convergence of two century-old traditions of dental excellence, opening an exciting new chapter in international collaboration.
