Rena D’Souza, the president of the International Association for Dental Research (IADR) and professor of the university of Utah, visited West China hospital of Stomatology, Sichuan University, from May 25th to 27th in 2019. Professor Ling Ye, the dean of West China hospital of Stomatology, warmly welcomed her and had a deep exchange of views on all-round cooperation between IADR and our school. Dr. D’Souza thanked our school for the efforts on organizing the 2021 IADR Annual Scientific Meeting in Chengdu, and looked forward to its success.

Dr. D’Souza gave a speech on “How Science and Technology Advances Can Impact Oral Health: IADR’s Vision for the New Century” to the faculties and graduate students in the school. After the speech, Dr. D’Souza had a lively discussion with the audience. During her visit, Dr. D’Souza visited China Museum of Stomatology, State Key Laboratory of Oral Diseases, and National Demonstration Center for Experimental Stomatology Education in our school.
