From July 8th to 21st, the 2018 West China Dental International Exchange Camp was successfully held. 33 exchange students from 11 universities in the United States, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Japan, Myanmar, Thailand, and Hong Kong China attended the camp.

At the international exchange camp, the exchange students participated in a variety of courses taught by professors from well-known domestic and overseas universities. They also visited Chinese Stomatology Museum and Museum of Oral Health Education. These museums have well-preserved dental equipment and teaching materials. The study notes of the predecessors aroused great interest of the students and deepened their understanding of the history of West China School of Stomatology. Our school also prepared a variety of clinical lectures, case discussions and clinical observation for them. By participating in the 2018 International Stomatology Undergraduate Operating Skills Competition, the exchange students presented their professional skills. At the same time, the exchange students further deepen the understanding of Chinese culture through in-depth contact with the undergraduate students of our school.

As a witness and leader of the development of oral science in China, West China School of Stomatology has always adhered to the talent training concept of "selecting talents, high standards, strict requirements, and strong abilities" since its establishment, and attached great importance to the internationalization of talent training. It is improving the competitiveness of students and expanding international horizons. With continuous efforts, this international exchange camp not only enhances international students’ understanding of our dental school, but also enhances the international influence of West China School of Stomatology.
