West China Global Alumni Forum (Session 1) was successfully held on the morning of June 17, 2025 in WCSS . Dr. He Jianing, an outstanding alumni of our school, delivered the keynote speech titled"Twenty Years of Regenerative Endodontics: How Far We Have Come and Where Do We Go From Here?".

Dr. He, a 1996 graduate of the seven-year program of WCSS, earned her PhD in Oral Biology from the University of Connecticut and obtained her endodontic specialist certification in 2003. With extensive experience in teaching, research, and clinical endodontics, she has authored over 50 academic publications and contributions to 4 monographs. Dr. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics, a fellow of the American College of Dentists, and an adjunct professor in the Department of Endodontics at Texas A&M University College of Dentistry (former Baylor College of Dentistry).

In her presentation, Dr. He reviewed the development of regenerative endodontics over the past 20 years. She analyzed current trends and offered forward-looking perspectives on future directions, inspiring the audience. The event was attended by Prof. Ye Ling, Vice President of Sichuan University, Prof. Yuan Quan, Associate Dean of WCSS, faculty members, students, and international participants from the "Belt and Road" International Training Workshop on Minimally Invasive and Digital Technology in Cariology and Endodontics. The forum proved highly successful, significantly advancing the internationalization efforts within our graduate education program.
