West China School of Stomatology (WCSS), Sichuan University, and Graduate School of Dentistry, Tohoku University jointly hosted the 2025 Campus Asia Plus Symposium & University Immersion Program (UIP) from June 29th to July 11th, 2025. Professor Han Xianglong, Dean of WCSS, and Professor Ken Osaka, Dean of Tohoku University Graduate School of Dentistry, served as the conference chairs.

This event gathered experts, scholars, and students from 16 renowned dental institutions worldwide, including West China School of Stomatology, Tohoku University, Chulalongkorn University, King's College London, Osaka Dental University, Queen Mary University of London, Russian National Research Medical University, Seoul National University, Moldova State University of Medicine and Pharmacy, University of Belgrade, University of California San Francisco, The University of Hong Kong, Universitas Indonesia, University of Otago, University of Washington, and Yonsei University.

The opening ceremony, held at WCSS on June 30, was presided by Professor Shen Jiefei, Vice Dean of WCSS. Professor Han Xianglong, Dean of WCSS, and Professor Ken Osaka, Dean of Tohoku University Graduate School of Dentistry, delivered warm welcome speeches, extending their greetings to faculty members and students from various countries and institutions. Professor Amitha from Queen Mary University of London spoke as the faculty representative, while Veljko Milovanovic from the University of Belgrade delivered remarks on behalf of the student participants, both sharing their expectations and well-wishes for the event. 

This two-week program will feature over 30 academic lectures, along with the 2025 International Dental Student Hand Skills Competition and various intangible cultural heritage exchange activities, marking the largest attendance of visiting faculty and students to date.

The Campus Asia Plus Symposium & UIP continues to provide a valuable platform for knowledge sharing, offering rich educational resources for participants from around the world. This annual gathering facilitates the exchange of advanced, cutting-edge academic content and promotes talent development and scientific research in the field of dentistry across Asia and beyond.
