On July 26, 2025, the torch relay for the 12th World Games kicked off in Chengdu under the theme “Lighting Dreams with The World Games.” The event was broadcast live globally via CCTV Video.

Hu Baoqin, a postgraduate student from Hong Kong enrolled in the Class of 2021 at West China School of Stomatology, Sichuan University, had the honor of serving as the seventh torchbearer.
