The West China School/Hospital of Stomatology (WCSS/WCHS), Sichuan University, demonstrated its academic strength at the 17th Asian Academy of Preventive Dentistry (AAPD) Conference held in Indonesia (September 2–4, 2025). Led by Professor Tao Hu, the Preventive Dentistry team engaged in extensive exchanges with international peers.

Two postgraduate students, Yanbei Lu and Yanjia Zhuang, won the First and Second Prizes in the LION Award for Best Oral Presentation—one of the conference’s most competitive global awards. Their studies highlighted the mediating role of dietary patterns in the link between oral and cardiovascular health, and introduced new epidemiological perspectives on the relationship between oral health and cognitive function in older adults.
