West China Hospital of Stomatology (WCHS), Sichuan University, has successfully deployed a National Medical Team to the Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan Province, delivering much-needed, high-quality dental care to underserved ethnic communities. The mission's dedicated efforts and remarkable impact have garnered significant attention across multiple media outlets.

In response to the National Health Commission's initiative to extend premium medical resources to rural areas, the team established a comprehensive three-tier service network—clinical treatments, community-based free clinics, and home visits—across Jiuzhaigou, Zoigê, Hongyuan, and Barkam regions.

Beyond providing direct patient care, the team is deeply committed to sustainable healthcare improvement through hands-on training sessions, surgical demonstrations, and educational workshops for local medical staff on common disease diagnosis, infection control protocols, and clinical best practices.

The program has earned high recognition from local governments and residents, effectively addressing the oral health challenges faced by ethnic minority populations while fulfilling WCHS's critical social responsibility to bridge healthcare disparities in remote regions.
