On January 7, 2026, a German academic delegation visited the West China School of Stomatology (WCSS). The delegation was led by Professor Katja Nelson, Dean of the School of Dentistry at the University of Freiburg, and Professor Susanne Nahles, Head of the Department of Reconstructive Implantology at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin.

Dean Han Xianglong extended a warm welcome, expressing his commitment to fostering closer ties between the two institutions.

During their visit, the delegates toured key facilities, including the Department of Oral Implantology, the Museum of Stomatology, the State Key Laboratory of Oral Diseases, and the IDEA Future Learning Center, where they experienced a virtual simulation teaching system.

The visit has strengthened academic ties and laid a foundation for future collaboration in dental education, research, and clinical practice.
