NTU Professors Lecture at WCSS

On April 9, 2026, the 16th Young Scholars Forum of the West China School/Hospital of Stomatology (WCSS), Sichuan University was held, featuring invited lectures by Professor Anjali Kusumbe and Professor Saravana Ramasamy from the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University.

During the forum, Professor Anjali Kusumbe delivered a talk titled "Aging Bones and Skeletal Site-Specific Marrow Niches in Regeneration", elaborating on the regulatory role of the bone marrow microenvironment in bone injury repair and the impact of aging. Professor Saravana Ramasamy then presented "Skeletal Growth and Ageing through a Vascular Lens", using high-resolution imaging to vividly demonstrate the key role of the vascular system in bone growth, development, and aging. Faculty and students also engaged in discussions on current trends and hot topics in the fields of development and aging.

The forum provided a platform for the academic exchange, stimulated interdisciplinary innovation, and promoted WCSS's disciplinary development and talent cultivation.
