On April 13, 2026, 33 delegates from the Hong Kong Association of Private Dental Practitioners, the Hong Kong Society of Orthodontists (HKSO), and the Macau Dental Association visited the West China School of Stomatology (WCSS), Sichuan University. 

The delegation was received by WCSS’s leadership and student representatives. Dean Han Xianglong extended a warm welcome and reviewed the long-standing ties between WCSS and the Hong Kong dental community, noting frequent exchanges and fruitful collaboration in clinical techniques, talent cultivation, and scientific research. The delegation also toured WCSS’s National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center, the Museum of Stomatology, and several key clinical departments.

In the afternoon, the two sides co-hosted the “WCSS – HKSO Symposium.” The event featured high-level academic presentations on cutting-edge orthodontic techniques and clinical applications. 

The visit deepened the friendship and laid a solid foundation for future collaboration between WCSS and the dental communities of Hong Kong and Macau, reaffirming a shared commitment to advancing the field of stomatology in China.
