From April 1 to 3, a delegation of four oral surgeons from the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) Faculty of Dentistry in Malaysia, a Belt and Road partner country, visited West China School of Stomatology (WCSS), Sichuan University for a focused academic exchange.
During the visit, the delegation engaged in clinical ward rounds and surgical demonstrations, gaining insights into WCSS’s treatment philosophies, technological innovations, and disciplinary achievements in the field of cleft lip and palate. They also toured the Museum of Stomatology and the National Demonstration Center for Experimental Teaching, deepening the understanding of WCSS’s century-old heritage and academic excellence. The delegation actively participated in discussions, showed strong interest in the advanced techniques presented, and expressed a keen enthusiasm for further collaboration.
WCSS will continue to strengthen ties with Belt and Road partner countries, share advanced dental technologies and support global oral health development.
