From April 15 to 18, 2026, the team from the Department of Cariology and Endodontics of WCSS was invited to attend the 2026 Annual Meeting of the American Association of Endodontists (AAE) and received recognition.

At the meeting, the research groups of Professor Dingming Huang and Associate Professor Xuelian Tan were invited to deliver a speech entitled “Treatment Strategies of Apical Periodontitis in Teeth Adjacent to Dental Implants”, which shared the team’s latest research progress and clinical practice in collaboration with Professor Yi Man’s team from the Department of Implantology.

During the same meeting, the 2025 Journal of Endodontics (JOE) Best Paper Award was presented. The paper “B Cells at the Core: Immune Mechanisms and Therapeutic Potentials in Periapical Lesions” authored by the research group of Professor Dingming Huang and Associate Chief Physician Dongzhe Song, received an Honorable Mention. This marks the group’s second consecutive win of this honor, following the award received by Professor Dingming Huang and Associate Professor Xuelian Tan in 2024. The AAE Honorable Mention Award is presented annually to select papers published in JOE that demonstrate outstanding innovation and significant contributions to endodontic research and clinical practice. It is a highly regarded academic honor in the international endodontic community.
