On May 27, 2026, Prof. Daniel Thoma, Head of the Division of Oral Regeneration and Implantology, Center of Dental Medicine at the University of Zurich and ITI expert panel member, visited WCSS for academic exchanges. He delivered a lecturetitled “How High‑Class Basic, Preclinical and Clinical Research on Collagen‑Based Matrices Changed the Clinical Peri‑Implant Soft Tissue Management.” The talk sparked lively discussions among faculty, students, and clinicians. 

Prof. Thoma also toured the Department of Oral Implantology to observe precision implant surgeries and digital workflows using mixed reality navigation, dynamic navigation, and digital guides, and later visited the West China Museum of Stomatology. He highly commended our innovations in precision and minimally invasive implantology.

WCSS has long maintained a friendly and productive partnership with the Center of Dental Medicine, University of Zurich. This visit further deepened bilateral collaboration in implant dentistry, building on a strong foundation of mutual academic exchange.
