The 2026 “Belt and Road” International Training Course on Advanced Cleft Lip and Palate Technology has concluded successfully. Jointly sponsored by the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Science and Technology and hosted by West China School of Stomatology, Sichuan University, this two-week intensive training program assembled 40 outstanding medical professionals engaged in cleft lip and palate diagnosis and treatment from 13 Belt and Road partner countries.

The training integrated high-level academic lectures, standardized live surgical demonstrations and hands-on practical workshops, through which the established West China clinical protocols for comprehensive cleft lip and palate management were systematically presented. The program was well received by the international participants and contributed to professional academic exchanges, thereby supporting the development of the Health Silk Road initiative.
