On November 1st, 2018, the Ministry of Education held the 2018-2022 Inaugural Meeting of the Teaching Steering Committee of Higher Education Institutions of the Ministry of Education in Beijing. The dean of our school, Dr. Ye Ling, was elected as the chairman of the Stomatology Teaching Steering Committee, and the director of the educational administration office in our school. Dr. Zhang Linglin, was hired as the secretary of the Stomatology Teaching Steering Committee.

The Teaching Steering Committee is an organization led by the Ministry of Education. It is a non-standing academic institution. It accepts the commission of the Ministry of Education to carry out research, consultation, guidance, evaluation, and service of undergraduate education in colleges and universities. The new Teaching Steering Committee gathered the most authoritative experts and scholars in higher education. The election of Dr. Ye Ling as the chairman of the Stomatology Teaching Steering Committee is an affirmation from Ministry of Education on the long-term achievements of the West China School of Stomatology in the field of talent training, especially in undergraduate education, and also an incentive for the future work of our school.

The establishment of the new Stomatology Teaching Steering Committee is of great significance to the top-level design of the stomatology professional training system and the improvement of the connotation of education and teaching. As the chairman institution, our school will also fully support the work of the Teaching Steering Committee, to enhance the sense of honor, mission, orientation and urgency in the work, earnestly implement the country's new requirements for talent training, fulfill the duties of Stomatology Teaching Steering Committee, and promote the development of stomatology education of our country.
