On April 25th, 2019, International College of Dentists Section XIII-China 2019 Annual Symposium & Induction Ceremony was held at Western China International Expo City. Prof. Liu Hongchen, vice president of Chinese Stomatological Association, Prof. Zhou Xuedong, president of ICD China Section, Dr. How Kimchuan (Malaysia), president of ICD Section XV, Dr. William Cheung (Hong Kong), vice president of ICD Section XV, and Dr. John Ling (Hong Kong), registrar of ICD Section XV attended this grand meeting, while Prof. Chen Qianming, registrar of ICD China Section, served as the emcee.

The theme of the annual symposium was oral diseases and systemic diseases. Dr.How Kimchuan, Prof. Pan Yaping and Prof. Chen Qianming were invited to give lectures. Their speech titles were“3D Digital Technology in implant restoration incorporating with Orthodontic movements to achieve optimal functional and aesthetic results”,“Correlation between periodontal diseases and systemic diseases---basic and clinical research findings”and “Manifestation of syphilis in oral mucosa: Diagnostic strategies” , respectively.

The year of 2019 coincided with the tenth anniversary of ICD China Section Establishment, and this was celebrated at the event. Prof. Liu Hongchen gave a speech at the celebration ceremony, and Prof. Zhou Xuedong introduced the ICD, along with its mission and its history in China to all the audience. Afterwards at the induction ceremony, 51 new inductees were awarded the fellow certificate, the golden key and lapel pin of ICD.
