Recently, Dr. Jiang Nan from the Department of Orthognathic and TMJ Surgery, West China Hospital of Stomatology, Sichuan University, published a research article on ACS Nano (IF=13.709), entitled "Promoting Osseointegration of Ti Implants through Micro/Nanoscaled Hierarchical Ti Phosphate/Ti Oxide Hybrid". It is an important achievement of our hospital's development of "Stomatology+" in the past few years.

In this study, the latest thermochemical surface treatment technology was used to prepare a variety of new bionic gradient morphologies on the surface of the bone implant by altering the processing methods and conditions of reactions. The biological performance and the results of in vivo application of each type of morphologies were systemically evaluated. This research has made significant progress in the surface modification and biological application of dental implants and other intraosseous implants. It also paves the way for oral and maxillofacial intraosseous implants to achieve rapid osseointegration.

The co-first author of the study is Dr. Zhijun Guo from the Analysis and Testing Center of Sichuan University, and the corresponding authors are Professor Zhu Songsong from the Department of Orthognathic and TMJ Surgery, West China Hospital of Stomatology, Sichuan University, and Professor Zhang Li from the Analysis and Testing Center, Sichuan University.
