On April 26th, 2019, the tour of aesthetic prosthodontics sponsored by the Chinese Stomatological Association and the sixth interdisciplinary excellent case review and exhibition (Chengdu Station) with a subject of Colorful Dream Shows and Good Dentists was held. Many famous experts were invited to give lectures on aesthetic restoration and to comment on these excellent cases on the tour which more than 200 doctors and students participated in. Professor Wang Jian and associate professor Gan Xueqi of our hospital hosted the exhibition.

Professor Yu Haiyang of our hospital gave a report titled Zirconium Porcelain Aesthetic Restoration and Digital Fixed restoration. He pointed out that highly-translucent zirconia was a digital material with both excellent aesthetic and mechanical properties, which strongly supported the current digital aesthetic restoration and implant restoration.

Professor Zhao Ke from Hospital of Stomatology, Sun Yat-sen University, delivered the lecture: Performance and Clinical Application of Zirconia Ceramics: Past, Present and Future.

Professor Liu Hongchen of Chinese PLA General Hospital gave a speech titled Development Trend and Prospect of Prosthodontics, putting forward the view that "dentists are engineers". He pointed out that dentists should not merely be engaged in simple dental repair work, but more importantly, should make comprehensive clinical plans based on multiple disciplines and play a good role in the digital-oral-health-network integrated medical service platform to promote the development of the dentistry industry.

Professor Liu Weicai, from School of Dentistry Tongji University, delivered the lecture Application of Zirconia in Aesthetic Restoration which comprehensively introduced the application of zirconia in clinical cases.

On the afternoon of Apr 26th, 10 contestants gave wonderful reports on the special lecture session of interdisciplinary excellent case review and exhibition. Finally, Yu Ping, a doctoral candidate of prosthodontics department of our hospital, won the first prize, and Hu Nan and Jia Luming won the second prize. Li Jing, a resident of the prosthodontics base of our hospital, won the third prize.
