Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), the leading international higher education research institute, released the 2024 edition of the QS World University Rankings by Subject on 10 April, 2024. Sichuan University made a breakthrough in the subject of Dentistry, ranking 12th in the world and 1st in mainland China.

QS World University Rankings by Subject uses a number of indicators to compile the rankings, including international research network, h-index citations, citations per paper, academic reputation, and employer reputation.
