Dept. of Pharmacy
The Department of Oral Pharmacy mainly focuses on the pharmacology and pharmaceutics of medicine used to diagnose, prevent and treat diseases in dentistry and works as a comprehensive medical technology department integrating drug supply and dispensing, production and quality control of hospital pharmaceutical preparations, clinical pharmacy and pharmaceutical scientific research. At present, there are 9 pharmaceutical staff (3 with graduate education), including 1 with senior professional title and 5 with intermediate professional title. To meet the needs of discipline construction and clinical practice, the pharmacy department has drug storehouse, outpatient pharmacy, inpatient pharmacy, clinical pharmacy room, and other departments. We have carried out pharmaceutical care such as prescription review, clinical medication monitoring ,and medication consultation. All departments have established a complete organizational system to ensure the solid progress of discipline construction, so that the quality and level of pharmaceutical care can meet the needs of government medical reform and hospital work.

Clinic
Full-time clinical pharmacists have covered head and neck oncology, trauma and plastic surgery, oral mucosa, and other clinical departments. Clinical pharmacists actively participate in ward rounds, consultations, and case discussions, play an important part in the formulation of individualized medication treatment plans, provide patient with medication education and drug consultation, and carry out adverse drug reaction monitoring. At the same time, the connotation of pharmaceutical care has been continuously deepened, and the supervision of the rational clinical application of antibiotics and antitumor drugs has been carried out.

Education
The Department of Oral Pharmacy undertakes the teaching work of “Oral Clinical Pharmacology” of West China School of Stomatology of Sichuan University every year, and takes on the task of teaching pharmacy interns such as Ya'an Health Technology School.

Research
The pharmacy research team is composed of young and middle-aged pharmacists who are committed to the research on drug efficacy and oral evidence-based pharmacy, providing theoretical and experimental basis for promoting the individualization of therapeutic drugs and the rationality of clinical application of antibiotics for oral and maxillofacial infections. The research group has published more than 20 papers in domestic and foreign academic journals, edited 1 monograph, and participated in 2 monographs.
